Our village is located right on the entry to the skiing arena “Gasteinertal”. The ski-region “Dorfgastein/Großarl” offers you a fabulous skiing pleasure. Choose the fantastic ski slopes to Dorfgastein or Großarl.
It wont be boring with the 24 ski lifts, 80 kilometres prepared ski-runs, powder snow hillsides, snowboard funpark and halfpipe.

To say nothing of the many cosy ski huts, which invite to Aprésski. Succulent stilts or spareribs, cheese noodles or a fluffy sweet cut-up pancake with raisins, you mustn’t fail. With hot rhythms and after some schnapps the afternoon will get quite merry. |

People who want to have more cosiness, can enjoy the well groomed cross-country skiing trails, the about 20 kilometres long winter walks, or a romantic horse sledge ride.
For daring guests we have a special offer: They can admire the wintry landscape while trying hang-gliding or paragliding, for beginners with a tandem.

“Live dabei” in the ski compound called “Amade”, you have the possibility to use other skiing areas with one and the same ski pass, too.
With the ski bus (free of charge) you can reach the “Schlossalm mountain railway” in Bad Hofgastein or the “Graukogel” in Gastein.

After an eventful day there’s nothing better but changing from the snow to the water. Do you have a good mind to vitalize your body in a thermal spring or in a sauna? You are able to do this here in Dorfgastein or in the new-built, most modern and biggest thermal spring in the Gasteiner-valley. (only 8 minutes by car from our pension)
In the evening Dorfgastein offers you quite a number of well cared restaurants, where you can savour the native cuisine.
Especially for revellers there are many bars and discos, where you can dance into the small hours.
